What we help with.

Six consumer-rights areas, each with a clear boundary. We help with intake, records and next steps. We do not provide legal advice, legal representation or a guaranteed outcome.

Scope
Consumer scams, identity theft, debt, purchases, contracts and related matters
First step
A short intake, reviewed by a person
Cost
No charge to submit an intake

Each matter starts with the same question: can we responsibly help with the facts in front of us? Below is where we usually work, and the line we do not cross.

Consumer scams & fraud

Impersonation, fake invoices, investment schemes

The story changes with every scam. What stays useful is the record: who contacted you, what they asked for, what you paid, and what happened next.

What we can do

  • Help you reconstruct a clear timeline and organize messages, receipts and account records.
  • Explain how consumer complaints are usually routed and help you prepare your own written complaint.
  • Identify when a matter needs a licensed attorney or a specialized recovery service.

What we cannot promise

  • Recover money, promise a recovery, or pressure a third party on your behalf.
  • Give case-specific legal advice or represent you in a legal proceeding.

Identity theft

Accounts, credit and personal information

When someone uses your name, the first job is containment. The second is a clean, dated record of what you did and when.

What we can do

  • Explain the usual containment steps, including credit freezes or alerts, credential changes and reporting.
  • Help you organize a chronology and prepare your own letters and reports.
  • Point you toward identity-theft resources and licensed counsel when the matter calls for it.

What we cannot promise

  • Access your accounts, collect your Social Security number or identification documents, or act as your lawyer.
  • Guarantee the removal of inaccurate information or a particular credit outcome.

Debt collection

Calls, letters and payment demands

Collector contact can be lawful or abusive. The difference is often in the dates, the words used and the paper that follows.

What we can do

  • Help you log calls, letters and payment demands into one chronology.
  • Explain how to ask for written verification and how to prepare your own response.
  • Explain complaint routes and refer you to licensed counsel where appropriate.

What we cannot promise

  • Negotiate a debt as your attorney, give bankruptcy advice, or promise a settlement.
  • Act as your legal representative in a collection dispute.

Online purchases & rentals

Non-delivery, fake listings and deposit disputes

A marketplace account, a payment app and a chat thread can tell three different stories. We help you put them in the same order.

What we can do

  • Help you organize the listing, order, payment and conversation into one record.
  • Help you prepare a dispute or complaint in your own words.
  • Explain when a chargeback, platform escalation, small-claims process or referral may fit.

What we cannot promise

  • Guarantee a refund, chargeback or return of a deposit.
  • File a case in your name or give legal advice about your specific matter.

Consumer contracts & subscriptions

Fine print, auto-renewals and cancellation

A service that did not match the offer is a records problem before it is an argument. Find the terms, the promises and the dates.

What we can do

  • Help you find and summarize the contract terms that matter to the issue.
  • Help you draft a cancellation or dispute letter for your own use.
  • Explain complaint and small-claims options in general terms.

What we cannot promise

  • Provide a legal opinion on the contract or tell you that a term is unenforceable.
  • Promise that a refund, cancellation or other outcome will be granted.

Fit is decided by facts, not by a menu.

Sending an intake is the start of a conversation. It is not an engagement, and it is not a promise that we can take the matter.

What we check

  • The facts and the timeline you can document.
  • The state and jurisdiction involved.
  • Whether the matter is within the scope described above.
  • Whether a licensed attorney or a public resource is the better path.

What an intake is not

  • It is not legal advice.
  • It does not create an attorney-client relationship.
  • It is not an acceptance of the matter.
  • It is not a guarantee of recovery, settlement or any result.
